Planning and designing weddings are something our team of experts has been doing since 2006. As we watch trends come and go it is our goal to keep our clients in the loop, so today we’re sharing Cedarwood Weddings’ Top 5 Trends for 2022. From full wedding weekends in Nashville to Chromatic color palettes our clients are rocking them!
Trend #1: Break Tradition & Begin New Ones
How often have you forgotten to grab a slice of cake at a wedding? What about those garter and bouquet tosses, do you miss them? You may be happy to hear that these trends have been phasing out for a few years now, but, that doesn’t mean tradition has fully left the wedding world! Our team experiences unique ideas at each Cedarwood wedding and we admire the creativity of our clients! Our 2022 couples have been breaking tradition and starting their own. Here are five ideas we love!

Trend #2: Wedding Weekends In Nashville
Our estate is located just 8 miles north of downtown Nashville, making Cedarwood Weddings the perfect location for destination couples wanting to host a full-blown wedding weekend in Nashville, Tennesse. Kick off your weekend with a wonderful welcome dinner downtown at one of the dreamy rooftop restaurants such as Bourbon Steak, Acme Feed & Seed, or City Winery! Share an itinerary (see below for what we recommend!) for guests to follow and explore the town on their own. And, if you’ve been here make sure you go before suggesting go-to spots! Guests will love hitting up Nashville’s famous honky-tonks for the after-party. The city has incredible brunch spots so a farewell brunch is the perfect way to wrap up the weekend!

Trend #3: Colorful Weddings
Our floral team loves working with color, and recently our clients have too! We’ve seen a wave of color come through our doors in recent years and have had a blast watching these colorful wedding trends pop. From wildflower arrangements to a floral print bridal gown, to vibrant invitations, and even pops of color on wedding cakes! Need advice on color palettes? Ask our design team!

Trend #4: Refresh Reception Attire
We love a beautiful wedding gown but when you’re hosting your wedding at an outdoor venue the idea of a shorter, slimmer, reception dress is appealing! Get the party started at Cedarwood Weddings and keep it going as you head to downtown Nashville! There are so many fun ideas for reception dresses and outfits. Need the inspiration to start? Check out the bridal fashion that our couples chose once it was time to hit the dance floor.

Trend #5: Live Wedding Paintings & Custom Neon Signs
More couples are choosing to add interactive activities for their guests at their receptions! We still love photo booths and cigar bars, but recent clients have upped the excitement with custom neon signs and live event painters! Capturing your wedding beyond photography and videography, consider taking home an original painting reflecting the essence of your day. Guests can watch the image come to life throughout the course of the evening. Nothing adds excitement to your reception like lighting up a custom neon sign! Guests will have a blast posing in front of it to celebrate you.
Live Painters
Some incredible artists have visited Cedarwood recently to capture clients dreamy wedding day moments in live time paintings. Check out Ruth Oneya Illustrations or Heather Alfred Painting and capture your wedding in a unique way!
