Lauren and Jonathan have a love with the fragrance and essence of a summer country garden. They love earthy elements that feel authentic and organic, and their wedding design draws inspiration from those associations, especially aromatic herbs in a variety of hues, sizes and textures. Homesteader essentials from garden, family and faith were used as decor to express a fresh farm aesthetic. Photos hung on a living ‘family tree’ and guests shared their favorite recipes and advice, honoring heritage. Sage greens and ivory with hints of soft blooms decorated community style tables for dinner, and we can’t imagine not feeling at home with a seat at this celebration.
Photographer Whitney Carlson and Cedarwood have a time-honored relationship dating back to our beginnings, when Whitney founded Nashville’s Dove Wedding Photography. She and her family now live in Minnesota, but Whitney came back to Nashville to shoot this wedding for her friends Lauren and Jon.
