Mike & Ashley say they developed a trusting, caring and humor filled relationship over a decade as a couple, leading up to their marriage. They saw a bit of the world together, and while at the Cliffs of Moher in Ireland, Ashley dreamed one day of getting engaged at this breathtaking spot. Fast forward 4 years to August 2015 when the two travelled back to Ireland and Mike popped the question, where? You guessed it, the Cliffs of Moher!

With hometowns in Indiana and Illinois, Nashville was a great middle-of-the-road wedding destination for guests. Cedarwood is honored to be the venue and planning team Mike and Ashley chose to create their romantic, whimsical al fresco garden wedding. The southern tradition of “Bury the Bourbon” worked like magic to produce a beautiful September day,decorated with hints of autumn colors mixed with lush greens. Guests enjoyed famous Nashville moonshine and music, and witnessed Ashley and Mike’s huge hearts via honorary donations to victims of Hurricane Harvey.
