We adore a good story about destiny, and Adrienne and Ryan confirm that timing of love sometimes seems random. Both Adrienne and Ryan had just spent four years at Vanderbilt University, and even though they shared some mutual friends, they had never met each other. When Adrienne was invited by a good friend to have dinner at Chilli’s, little did she know she was headed to meet her future hubby! She shares, “Ryan impressed me with his easy smily and calm personality, and I knew immediately I wanted to get to know him better.” Ryan agrees that it seems strange that they were in close proximity at college, but fate would make them wait for four years for romance to blossom. He shares, “Adrienne’s enthusiasm and zest for life really made an impact on me. Even after I moved out-of-state, our relationship grew strong through three years apart. I moved back to Nashville to start our future together.”
Adrienne and Ryan have three Vanderbilt degrees between them, so they appropriately chose their collegiate colors as inspiration for their wedding. Adrienne says, “Black and Gold happen to also be very classic and elegant, which is the direction we wanted our wedding to go, and we were motivated to do whatever we could to make our celebration scream “us” as well. Ryan and I wrote our own vows with love quotes from our favorite books, and a friend married us (who was the person who introduced us). We found an adorable ‘color-yourself guest book poster’ featuring Ryan and I as kids. We also had custom-built ‘light-up’ corn-hole boards, a temporary metallic tattoo table during cocktail hour, and a late night scotch tasting as a surprise for my father.” How unique and fun!
