The phrase, a picture is worth a thousand words, comes to mind every time we view a Cedarwood wedding photographed by Kristyn Hogan. Every. Time.  Mayra and Kevin are beautiful in a fabled kind of way, and the love and emotion captured in their wedding photography is pure magic. Kristyn Hogan always includes beautiful images of the property and landscapes at Historic Cedarwood when photographing weddings at our Nashville venue, as well as details and styling in an editorial way that shows every nuance of the day.

Kevin had taken Mayra to romantic getaway – a resort which included a hot air balloon ride – in which he intended to propose to Mayra. As it turned out, bad weather prevented them from their balloon ride, but the proposal was a success anyway.  Mayra was so impressed with Kevin’s romantic plan, hot air balloons became a symbol of their upcoming nuptials and were featured on wedding invitations and signage.  Mayra had Patty Cakes make  adorable cake pops ‘balloons’, so the Cedarwood design team surprised the bride and groom with a hot air balloon floral installation to display them.  It was a privilege to help Mayra and Kevin create their dream wedding celebration which, in our books, is one chapter in a true American Fairytale.  There are so many favorite photos to share, we’re committing two parts to this feature.  Enjoy Part 1.
