Rachel and Chris initially wanted to have their wedding in a church, but when they opened their options to include outdoor venues, they found Historic Cedarwood. We are so glad they did! Rachel says, “I really liked what I saw on the website, and when we visited, I fell in love with everything. Chris really loves the outdoors, so the big open feel with many different aspects of nature was right down his alley. The great trees and Cedarwood’s Mooncake Lake sold it for him. I really like the natural and unspoiled feel as well, but I also like how comfortable we felt near the house. Everything felt so elegant, yet comfortable and inviting – like a place our guests could relax and have a good time. I’ve always dreamed of southern touches in my wedding, so the big white house with a porch is wonderful!”
After an intimate “first look” photo session at the Cedar Dock, Rachel and Chris gathered guests on the Cedarwood meadow. A floral and garland draped wood cross altar beneath a beautiful summer sky was a sacred setting honoring their faith. For their unity ceremony, Rachel and Chris connected two pieces of a keepsake cross which is a lovely reminder of their vows and relationship as husband and wife. Rachel shares, “I believe God has inspired and blessed our lives and union.” Enjoy their lovely day and delightful garden reception through these photos by Erin of The Collection.
Thank you Rachel and Chris for choosing Cedarwood as your Nashville wedding venue. We adored working with you, and are honored to be part of your beautiful ceremony and celebration. Thank to The Collection for sharing photos with us!
