Julie and Dave are the cutest. The Cutest. Julie loves pink and coined the term “blush and bashful” to describe her wedding color palette. Dave and Julie come from lands “up north” and are big fans of country music. Julie shares, “When you think of Waylon Jennings, Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson you think of Nashville. Dave and I love country music, particularly the “outlaw country” musicians named above. After we got engaged we started to look at destination weddings locations and Nashville quickly became a top contender. Other venues in Nashville that we looked at didn’t have the charm we were looking for. The second we arrived at Cedarwood I knew this would be the place where we would say our I do’s.”
Julie and Dave told us that weddings in their home towns were mostly held in banquet rooms with carpeted floors and plated dinners, and that they wanted to give their guests a unique wedding experience. Cedarwood’s historic home set amidst lush green meadows, flowers, tall trees, white fences and a vintage barn were the elements that inspired Julie and Dave’s “country chic” event styling. Their love for Outlaw Country Musicians inspired one creative DIY element. Julie created “Musician Theme Table Numbers” – each table card featured a photo and name of a different artist, as well as printed lyrics to their favorite song by each artist. Unique touch!
