Paige and Cody wanted a Classic Southern wedding that was preppy and fun – just like they describe themselves. Paige says, “Like many Tennessee girls, I love monograms, seersucker, cornhole, mason jars, pastel flowers, diamonds & pearls, bow ties, sweet tea, and SEC football. Cotton Boutonnieres for the guys was a nod to the south. Cody loves doughnuts, and decided instead of a traditional grooms cake, he wanted a Krispy Kreme doughtnut table titled “Sweet Treats” because that’s what we always call our sweet tooth indulgences.” Southern Perfection!
Paige told us the week following her engagement (be sure to read their love story below!) Cedarwood was her first venue tour. She says, “The moment my mom and I stepped on the premises, I felt like I was in my own wedding heaven and it wasn’t even my wedding day! I pretty much knew the moment I walked through the gates that I wanted Cedarwood as my venue. I loved the old Southern plantation home, trees in the yard with hanging mason jars, stone walkways around the lot, beautifully decorated garden terrace, Ah I could go on and on and on. Everything about Cedarwood exuded the Southern, classic charm that I wanted for my wedding day. From all the blog posts and pictures, I could tell that the Cedarwood team could put together the PERFECT wedding for me.”
Gorgeous couple and great photos by (Once By a Spark) Photography. We love every detail!
Paige and Cody met at Samford University McWhorter School of Pharmacy in Birmingham, AL in August 2009. It took Cody some time to muster up the courage to ask Paige on a date, but after he did… the rest was history. They were pretty much inseparable the remainder of pharmacy school. After graduation and jobs apart, they both ended up in Tennessee. Six months later Cody proposed while hiking in the Great Smokey Mountains at Abram Falls!
