Allison and Roman are a true international couple. Roman is from Venezuela with a Spanish heritage, who studied and worked in China, Switzerland, and Spain. Allison is from a small town in West Tennessee, who, after graduating college, traveled to work in Italy and Australia. Their passion for experiencing romance and the world through travel is the foundation of their love finding each other (Roman proposed to Allison in Paris in front of the Eiffel Tower!) They are also beloved, with family and friends attending their Historic Cedarwood Wedding from all parts of the world, including South America, India to Switzerland and Australia.
Allison wanted to create an elegant, romantic and classic celebration that would be universally appealing, while showing the lovely Tennessee terrain of Allison’s home state. Spanish translation of their ceremony made the non-english guests (and first time visitors to Tennessee) part of the sacred exchange between Allison and Roman, and thoughtful touches through the reception celebration merged cultures and traditions. Allison’s stunning “Juliette” gown by Maggie Sottero set the tone for this amazing black tie wedding, and we are smitten by the juxtaposition tuxedos and ball gowns in the meadow of our historic estate. Linda and the Cedarwood Event Team
“Dear Cedarwood Team: (My dream team): I’m sure I have said it once, other brides probably have said it hundreds of times but without you all, our wedding day wouldn’t have been possible. It may have been possible but I would have NEVER been able to pull it off alone! You all gave me the calm a bride deserves on her wedding day – I was (mostly) calm; I of course had nerves but only the normal “excited and nervous for it to be my wedding day, I’m about to burst from happiness kind of nervous feeling”. Nothing is ever as you expect it to be, even after planning for over a year and making sure everything is perfect, it’ll never be as you imagine it to be. You all made it better than I expected. You even accommodated my precious little dog Molly! I always heard how fast your wedding day goes and how it’s almost a blur. I wouldn’t say it was a blur but it went by WAY too fast and there were many things I don’t remember and some details I could have had more time for. But, it was perfect. Down to every last detail. Thankfully, for our photographers & videographers, we are able to relive those moments and even catch some of the details that some may not have seen. Thank you all SO much! Big hugs!”
