Joni and Matthew may just have won the prize for the perfect day of the spring season for a Cedarwood wedding. The sunshine on this May 18 day definitely illuminated their love and lit up a cherished Cedarwood landmark- Clover fields in bloom. The sight is breathtakingly romantic, and we are thrilled that photographer Ariel Renae spent a little time with Joni and Matthew frolicking in the meadow. Every detail of this rustic-vintage styled wedding is as fresh as spring on the farm.
Joni and Matthew are US Air Force career officers in Abilene, Texas. It is through their journal entries that we learn insights into their love story that lead them to the altar. Joni framed some of their favorite quotes for hanging decor, and also used them as light-hearted reception table conversation starters. Like these: “The last time I was this nervous, my chute malfunctioned and I had to cut away.” – Matt after proposing. And how endearing it this? “We had our second kiss…at which point I got a horrible case of the giggles.” – Joni on their first date. What a great idea for personalizing a wedding! Enjoy Joni and Matt’s amazing May day at Historic Cedarwood.
Congratulations Joni and Matt! Brilliant day, beautifully documented by Ariel Renae Photography. May your life as husband and wife grow strong and steady. Thanks for allowing Cedarwood to be a part of your celebration.
