The Cedarwood Weddings design team wanted to represent the romance of autumn in a new way, using complimentary cool and warm hues.  Sometimes a few unique elements inspires a complete eventscape, and in this case, the pairing of amber and plum was inspired by Panache’s “Leaf ” dessert plate in plum, along with Cedarwood’s collection of vintage amber glassware, raw linen, antique gold velvet, and wood.  Our new “Cedar Chapel, built on Historic Cedarwood’ Nature Preserve with native cedar tree cord wood in gorgeous honey-hued textures, perfectly ties the ceremony site to our autumn event palette.  Richly cool plum-colored flowers in loosely arranged centerpieces, bridal bouquet and headpiece, juxtaposes romance with the Earthiness of the fall.  An nontraditional mauve wedding dress is feminine without being too girly, and when paired with a fall floral crown, encourages our bride to embody her bohemian quality and frolic in the natural landscapes.
To create our tablescape and beverage station, we blended vintage amber glass with bone-and-metal charger plates and an unexpected pop of plum in the leaf plate.  Traditional fall elements like twigs and feathers replicate textures of the season, and are repeated on invitations as a signature of this autumn celebration.  Jars of honey for dipping artisan bread is a sweet southern treat, as are the Tennessee and Kentucky Bourbons used for fall-inspired signature drinks. Creative cocktail names like “My Sweet Honey Bee” and “Salted Honey Bourbon” along with custom printed drink stirs always make cocktail hour more festive. Sensational paper goods by Designs in Paper complement our soft and sophisticated, sweet and raw, Autumn Amber styling. This is a Cedarwood Weddings custom recipe for free-spirited fall brides, impeccably captured by Jenna Henderson, Photographer.
