North Kentuckians Courtney and Mike have the sweetest love story: She attended a girls Catholic high school: he a boys school across the street. They met at a party and became friends. Courtney says when she met Mike’s family, she was “amazed by the way he treated his mom and sister. From that point on I was smitten.”  Now a couple, Mike and Courtney went to Senior Prom together and won Prom King and Queen…can you see where this fairytale is headed?  After a romantic summer together, Courtney and Mike moved to Lexington to attend the University of Kentucky, making four years of cherished memories and a circle of lifelong friends.  Post graduation jobs returned them to north Kentucky, and a proposal of marriage followed, complete with a surprise party arranged by Mike to celebrate with their closest friends and family. The start of a new journey together began, and we are honored Cedarwood was chosen as Courtney and Mike’s Nashville destination wedding venue.
Courtney and Mike love Kentucky sporting events, especially horse racing, and enjoy sharing good times with family and friends.  The design influence for Courtney and Mike’s wedding was Southern-Preppy, and we love pairing Navy with happy summer colors.  Courtney’s dream of dining under a star-lit sky and dancing all night came true at their absolutely gorgeous July 5 celebration with iconic Kentucky details, including: Blanton’s Single Barrel Bourbon; horseshoe and racehorse motifs on Invitations, paper goods and signage; and our favorite detail – reception tables named after Derby Winners.  We love every ounce of this gorgeous day, photographed by Krista Lee Photography.
Impeccable! Congratulations Courtney and Mike on this joyous celebration. Thanks Krista Lee Photography for sharing your fantastic work with us.
