Katie and Jake wanted to begin their marriage with a God-centered ceremony because religion is an important anchor in their relationship. They met as counselors at a Christian kids summer camp in Texas, and as summer ended Katie and Jake returned home (Knoxville, Tennessee and Kearney, Nebraska, respectively.) Fortunately Jake’s job involved travel and the flexibility for him to visit Katie often. Considering the distance between them, two visits per month was enough for Katie and Jake to know they had something special. Five months later, Jake proposed.
To make Katie and Jake’s ceremony altar a sacred tribute, the Cedarwood event team hand-crafted a rustic Cedar cross from trees on our nature preserve. Decorated with green garlands and flowers, it was the cornerstone of Katie and Jake’s rustic-luxe southern styling. Congratulations Katie and Jake. May you be blessed with a life time of love. Thanks Traci Shepherd for sharing your photos for the Cedarwood Blog.
