Nothing says gracious southern wedding better than miles of greenery and flower garlands greeting guests at every turn. Allyssa and Wesley made sure their wedding was a celebration for the senses, reflecting Allyssa’s “ginormous soft spot for gorgeous flowers.” Music to Cedarwood’s design team’s ears for sure. Allyssa’s style was nothing but picture-perfect, and she and Wesley infused every wedding detail with personal touches. We especially love their selection of multiple favors, gorgeous invitations and creative event paper by Designs in Paper (adore the marriage witness sign-in sheet and post-event rating card!) Allyssa shares, “I have always dreamed of a venue like Cedawood for my wedding even prior to my engagement to Wesley on December 20, 2012. We visited Cedarwood shortly after in hopes of booking a spring 2014 wedding. However Cedarwood was already booked through July! We shopped around a bit more, but found that nothing could compare to Cedarwood for me. We gave up a spring date and booked the first available Saturday, which was July 12. My dream became a reality!”
Wesley and Allyssa’s love story begins as college students at Middle Tennessee State University and four years later, a sweet, sentimental proposal ensued. We love hearing the details, and if you do too, their proposal story is on Wesley and Allyssa’s wedding website. One sign of affection between them, “You are my person,” was a hint that theirs is a special relationship. Not only did Wesley and Allyssa write their own vows, they wrote the entire ceremony script for their nuptials. Here are two bonus photos of details from Allyssa and Wesley’s wedding, taken by Cedarwood’s design intern, Abby Weeden. Allyssa brought fresh peaches from The Peach Truck for the bride’s signature drink, Peach Mojitos. We are smitten by the lovely invitation suite by Designs in Paper.
