The Jewish-Muslim union of Robin and Shujah at Cedarwood was a beautiful blend of cultural and family traditions with a big infusion of southern fun.  Robin and Shujah are resident physicians at Vanderbilt, where they met, and chose Nashville for their destination wedding.  Dual nuptials including a prior Muslim ceremony and beautiful outdoor ceremony at Cedarwood featuring a gorgeous flower wrapped Chuppah, symbolizing establishing their new home as husband and wife. Other Jewish wedding traditions included Kiddush, a wine blessing ceremony and the signing of a marriage contract, known as Ketubah.  Robin and Shujah also infused the day with plenty of southern fun, like lawn games, a bonfire, and cocktail hour in the barn with apple pie moonshine.
Robin chose a color palette in various hues of purple, with Lavender bouquets for bridesmaids. Robin embraced the trend of allowing bridesmaids select the style and color of their dress for a unique, yet blended look.  Little Chahauaha “Taj“ was so handsome in his flower collar, and what about Shujah’s socks….maybe it was the moonshine (we love them!)  Enjoy Shujah and Robin’s day through these photos by Erin of The Collection!
Our best wishes to you Robin and Shujah! Thanks for choosing Cedarwood for your special union. It was a lovely day. Thanks Erin of The Collection, for sharing your photography for our blog.
