Kristy and Jim’s June 15 garden wedding at Historic Cedarwood is an excellent example that simple beauty is the epitome of classic elegance. Kristy told us her ideal wedding would have a southern, laid back atmosphere with an organic, clean aesthetic. Romantic candlelight on wood farm tables adorned with soft fluffy flowers and the perfect pop of mint was stunning in its simplicity. Kristy’s dream was to marry under a big tree tied with ribbons of flowers, and we must say it was a glorious sight.
Jim and Kristy met in January of 2011, when he was in Nashville from Chicago, for business. One of Jim’s co-workers played ‘matchmaker’ with an introduction and Kristy says there was an immediate connection. She continues, “Jim seemed shy at first, but the next thing we remember is swinging around on the dance floor. Jim asked for my number and we talked frequently. Fortunately Jim’s work brought him to Nashville often, and the next time he was in town, we had our first date. He started finding other reasons to make the trip to Nashville. One was a Brad Paisley concert and it was that weekend we knew there was something special between us.” After being separated for two years by work (one in Chicago and one in Charlotte) Jim proposed to Kristy, adopted Nashville as home, and they celebrated their marriage in the Cedarwood garden on one magical late spring evening.
