Danielle and Nick reside in Arlington, Virginia but have a Tennessee connection through Nick’s hometown. They chose Cedarwood for their destination wedding venue for the natural beauty of the property and Tennessee’s mild November weather. Danielle and Nick were drawn to the organic elegance of herbs, the rustic warmth of weathered wood, and art of hand-lettering on craft paper. Their November 10 wedding celebration is a statement in naturally simple elegance.
Nick knew Danielle was ‘the one’ when they first met in October of 2011. As fate would have it, Nick was booked on a 14-day trip to Africa the following week. He spent his time hiking Mount Kilimanjaro and thinking a lot about Danielle. On his return, Nick presented Danielle with a framed flower from the mountain, which he said represented something beautiful unfolding, and the lengths he would go for her. How fitting that this sentimental token would be featured decor at their wedding! Nick and Danielle commissioned bottling of custom wines to serve at the wedding, as well as private label bottles for guests to take home. Home made pies, apple cider and donuts (from Danielle’s Michigan hometown) added more personal flair to the celebration. Take it all in through these lovely photos by Love is a Big Deal.
Thanks Danielle and Nick, for choosing Cedarwood for your wedding and celebration of love for each other. Thanks to Love is a Big Deal for sharing the photos!
