Chicago couple, Jeannie and Zachary, are easy on the eyes and so is their early summer Cedarwood destination wedding Dove and blush chevron stripes, mason jars, blue vintage glass, perfectly pink garden roses, rustic wood and crocheted lace :: this is the formula for Jeannie and Zach’s romantic-vintage countryside wedding. Layers of color and textures in ivory, blush, gray and pink pop against the sophisticated backdrop of our historic farm. We love Jeannie and Zach’s ruffled blush pink ombre wedding cake by Patty Cakes.
Even more than beautiful styling, we love weddings full of personality. Jeannie and Zach shared their lives, love and families with guests by hanging photos from a twine line at cocktail hour, naming their signature drink “The Jumper” after their ‘baby’ Dachshund, Jumper, who enchanted guests as an adorable canine flower girl (dressed for the occasion!) Jeannie’s hand-painted heart sign added a personal touch to decor, and their barn wood frame signed by guests will be a cherished memento for years to come. Jeannie and Zach treated guests to a southern style dinner and Zach’s favorite dessert, Reese’s Peanut Butter cheesecake. Guests left the party with a token from Jeannie and Zach’s hometown – Chicago popcorn cutely packaged in Mason Jars. Toasts and father-mother dances are among our favorite reception moments, and we love the emotion shared on this night. Jeannie was treated to an additional tribute by her mother, whose friend gave a surprise performance of Martina McBride’s song “In My Daughter’s Eyes.” Enjoy the loveliness of Jeannie and Zach’s wedding, through these delightful photos from Erin Thacker.
Thanks Jeannie and Zach for sharing your perfect blush of summer wedding with us, and to Erin Thacker for sharing these lovely photographs.
