We are always excited to showcase a photographer’s Cedarwood debut, especially when as wonderful as Nyk + Cali‘s photos of Sara and Matthew‘s July 27 elegant southern wedding. Kudos to Nyk+Cali for the amazing feature image (above), the first photographer to use our stately weeping curly willow tree as a backdrop. We are awed!   Sara and Matthew exchanged nuptials at their home church, Brentwood Baptist, followed by a grand reception celebration at Cedarwood.  Sara wanted the overall tone of the wedding to be elegant yet casual, a romantic blend of contrasts – like whimsical and classic, old-fashioned southern and organically fresh.

Pairing neutrals with coral added the colorful touch Sara wanted without being overly bright.  (We’re not sure how emerald was chosen as the wedding color of the year, but in Cedarwood’s corner of the world, it has been coral, and we love it!) Matthew and Sara wanted guests to mingle and enjoyed themselves in various places with different conversations. Absolutely!  Cedarwood has great spaces for a progressive evening of entertainment, fellowship and fun. Check out Sara and Matthew’s fantastic wedding through the lens of Nyk+Cali!
