We adore west coast couples — their sense of style, passion and laid back camaraderie. Nina and Andrew‘s wedding is definitely in the Cedarwood Hall of Fame, not only for this gorgeous couple’s love story and beautiful wedding styling, but also for how they chose Cedarwood as their venue and handled a random act of mother nature on their wedding day. Let’s start with their story. Nina and Andrew met ten years ago in Nina’s home town of Danville, California. At the time, Nina worked as an ER nurse at a large trauma center in northern California and Andrew as a police officer for the city of Oakland. Over the years their love grew strong and deep, and they also founded a marketing company together. Expanding their business across the country, Nashville developed into one of their largest hubs and introduced them to the charms of the southern countryside.
When Nina and Andrew began looking for a wedding venue, they knew they wanted their family and friends to experience Nashville. They discovered our historic farm estate online and Nina booked Cedarwood for their June 22 “Shabby Chic” dream wedding before she actually saw the property first-hand. Thanks for that vote of confidence! Nina and Andrew enlisted the talented duo of She He We Photography to document their wedding day story, and we think they did so beautifully! Enjoy these gorgeous images, including a bit of post-ceremony excitement courtesy of an unexpected thirty minute rain shower (despite a zero percent chance of rain forecast!) It’s times like these that show the grit of great people, and we’ll let She He We share the ‘rest of the story.’
From She He We, “Nina and Andrew hail from California and chose Nashville for their destination wedding. These two may be the most generous and welcoming couple we have had the privilege of working with in a while. Their genuine love for people and zeal for life is infectious. Cedarwood and the staff were absolutely amazing. How do I know this…We experienced it! The ceremony and reception site (al fresco on the garden terrace) were decorated perfectly with every detail in place. Minutes after the ceremony, as guest’s were having their cocktail hour in the barn, A torrential down pour of rain hit. Holy Moly…You would expect chaos and freaking out by guests and staff…Not the case, Cedarwood quickly re-purposed the pavilion entertainment lounge area as the new dinning area. We expected Nina to lose it since she had spent months planning every detail but she had the best attitude. She said, “Now we can just dance in the rain” Obviously these two care about what matters most, friends and family. Enjoy!!”
Beautiful, exciting, romantic and FUN! Congratulations Nina and Andrew on your love for each other and your amazing wedding day. Thanks to She He We Photography for sharing your work, and for your kind comments about Cedarwood and our staff (we really do have an amazing staff and vendor partners, and kudos to them for shifting reception details with such grace!) We can’t image a more fun couple and celebration.
