For their July 3 wedding, there was no hesitation in Whitney and Roy to embrace the red, white and blue palette that accompanies our nation’s most revered holiday. Of course, red is the classic color of love and red roses represent passion and romance. And this day was most definitely a passionate one for Whitney and Ed – a date with significance to their relationship, and a day they designed to be laid back, southern-grounded and family oriented.
On a July weekend three years earlier, Roy and Whitney actually met in person for the first time (after texting a few times) at a get-together hosted by mutual friends. On seeing Whitney walk up, Roy smiled, pulled her in for a hug. It was one of those moments when two people ‘just know’ this might be ‘the one.’ Whitney and Roy ‘knew’ after four days together and confessed their love to each other on July 3, 2009. This date is now another milestone in their love story – the day they became Mr. and Mrs. Whitney says she and Roy have everything in common, they never fight and they love teasing each other. We can attest that there is serious chemistry between these two. Describing their love, Roy and Whitney say they are a perfect fit for each other – like ‘two peas in a pod’. Enjoy our favorite pics of the day taken by the bride’s brother, Brandon Buckholtz, and Grandpa Fred. Sweet as sweet can be!
Congratulations Whitney and Roy. You are indeed made for each other, and we are honored to witness your love. Thanks for sharing your wedding photos!
