Leslie and Bryce have a great love story, told in true novelist style by the groom (…seriously Bryce, get an agent!) Here’s how it started, by Bryce: “A tiki-torch flame, pushed by the warm Caribbean breeze, gambolled uninhibited beneath the star-studded Cayman night. The decadent spread, juxtaposed neatly with the casual beach vibe, surrounded friends, family, cigar rollers and a festive Mojito bar. Her blonde hair shimmered and her blue dress enhanced her resplendent green eyes. Innocently smiling, dimples absorbing my stare, she responded playfully to my condescension about the age limitations for her recent Mojito order. She entertained me with tales of New York City, her semester abroad and the west coast, as I feigned intelligence with anecdotes about Stephen Hawking and a sensational theory regarding sailors and the shape of the Earth. A weekend of graceful and expressive dancing, late night swimming with sharks, and 5am beach talks, ended with a romantic declaration of intent — a hand written message – being clandestinely delivered via hotel staff to her room.”
Roll forward four years to May 18th 2013, and Leslie and Bryce got to share their own late spring, southern night love celebration with family and friends (Mojitos were among signature drinks made by a Holland House mixologist!) Leslie’s “New York-Los Angeles-Atlanta” journey and Bryce’s “South Georgia-Nashville-New York” journey to the altar involved five moves, coast to coast living, lots of SkyMiles and plenty of time for self-reflection. Those years says Bryce, “have been both blissfully challenging and enchantingly joyous, as an uber long distance relationship has seemingly blinked by.” Funny how love does that! Linda & the Cedarwood Event Team
What you all do at Cedarwood is so impressive! Our friends and family were very confused why we wanted to get married in Nashville (because it was truly destination) but once they saw and experienced Cedarwood they understood – they all had the best time from start to finish. Cedarwood is all around phenomenal! We can not say enough good things about Kortni our Cedarwood wedding planner/coordinator extraordinaire – she’s a GEM! And I still dream of the flowers on my wedding day – Wow! They were spectacular! Donette and Steve, of Designs in Paper, were so easy to work with and really have perfected their craft! Love them! Loved our paper goods! We and all our guests were treated with the food made by Chef Christopher. Gourmet grilling was so unique, fresh and delicious! The cake, by Patty Cakes, was better than I ever imagined – the design was an art piece and every tier of the cake tasted delicious! Thank you Cedarwood and all your fabulous vendors for making our wedding day perfect!!
Leslie, Thank YOU for the wonderful feedback, and for choosing Cedarwood for your very special destination wedding. It is as spectacular as your love story! xoxo
Such a romantic wedding, each moment is perfect.
