Carolyn and Patrick‘s vintage romantic wedding bloomed with heirloom decor, custom art, and William Morris designer papers into a spring celebration of love and lace. Family quilt squares, home-made jam favors, framed family photos and literary quotes contributed personality to the celebration, along with pours of Manchester, Tennessee “Beans Creek” wine. Mother of the bride, Margaret Milburn’s, collection of designer papers added pizzazz to wishes cards, table assignments and wrapped books for tabletop decor. Blooming trees, love birds and nests were a reoccuring theme, including a custom painted antique window by an artist friend of the family. Crocheted lace, including an heirloom piece or two, enhanced the romantic coral, peach and cream flowers (we are obsessed by Carolyn’s gorgeous bridal bouquet.)
Patrick and Carolyn didn’t let a bit of early May rain slow down the fun, and Ace Photography was able to utilize the beautiful spring outdoors AND interior spaces. Wedding photos of Carolyn and Patrick show just how in love these two are, and we adore the excitement captured in their ‘first look’ beside the blooming dogwood tree (appropriately coordinated with their whimysical invitation suite by Designs in Paper!) More hints of the bride and groom’s playful personalities include Carolyn’s choice of cake topper and Patrick’s Moon Pies ‘groom’s desert display’ complete with an astronaut prop photo of him and Carolyn (Patrick is a consultant for NASA!) Enjoy the passion and play of their wedding day.
Congratulations Carolyn and Patrick. We enjoyed all the love you brought into your day. Thanks to Ace Photography for sharing the lovely photos!

Such a gorgeous wedding — with every detail so lovingly color-coordinated and vintage-themed!
Thanks so much for the wonderful blog on Carolyn and Patrick’s wedding. My husband and I were able to relive so many happy moments of the wedding last night. The wedding was lovely despite the cold and wet weather. I sent an email to Funweddingthings, where we got the cake topper and to the friends who made the window and garter. They were all thrilled to see their crafts included. Thanks again for making Carolyn and Patrick’s wedding such a beautiful and special day.
Margaret (mother of the bride)
