Heather and Ryan live in London, Ontario, Canada, and travelled all the way to Nashville, Tennessee to marry and celebrate at Historic Cedarwood.  Heather’s sister, Sarah, even flew in all the way from Australia! Heather and Ryan wanted a stress-free, fun and intimate day incorporating their love of live music, the outdoors and rustic touches. When they decided to elope  in only seven weeks, they planned to travel to their favorite city, Nashville, for a civic ceremony at City Hall.  Their families had never been to Nashville, and Heather and Ryan knew it was a place they would enjoy.

Heather tells the rest of the story, “Discovering Cedarwood was fate! After inquiring further into City Hall, we were disappointed to learn that they only conducted weddings on Thursdays and there was no way to make a reservation.  Feeling a bit discouraged, I dove head first into an intense Google search of ‘elopement in Nashville’. I discovered photos of a stunning wedding of a couple at a place called Cedarwood. Ryan and I knew right away that a place so beautiful, with such a talented event-planning and design team was a perfect fit for us. They were willing to work with our specific date and we got married exactly 4 months to the day, after Ryan proposed to me on Christmas Eve. It was elegant, intimate and dreamy. Absolute perfection.”

Heather continues, “Cedarwood provided  an exquisite backdrop for us to start our lives together. It was also important for us to find an amazing photographer who would capture the day perfectly for our friends and family back home. I fell in love with Ariel Renae’s work; as it happened she was available and we booked her right away.  She captured our wedding with such an artistic quality.
