Angela and Damon are a most delightful couple and we are blessed by knowing them.  Angela is an artist/ illustrator with a playful, colorful, understated style (loves Anthropology) and Damon is a lawyer with a studious personality and classic style (loves J.Crew).  Angela and Damon told us they wanted a simple, romantic, vintage themed wedding that would be an intimate experience with the people closest to them, but didn’t know how to go about it. Angela says, “We tirelessly searched the web for ways to bring it together in Austin, San Antonio, Houston, or Nashville – the places that mean something to us. Then we discovered Cedarwood and  knew immediately that we wanted the team at Cedarwood to design our wedding because their attention to detail was obvious and we knew their vintage inspired styling could compliment our love of antiques, rustic settings, and all things whimsical.”  

Our design team loves to create uniquely personal weddings, and Angela and Damon’s southern boho style was so much fun to do!  Using Angela’s illustrations as our inspiration (check out her work at Angela Pascale Illustrations),  we incorporated her art throughout their event styling.  Angela hand made  save the date flip books and  wedding invitations using her colorful and cheerful illustrations (actually of herself and Damon).  Angela says, “We love little birds (which I use as a logo in my business) and so there were little birds perched all around.  Also, our first date at the butterfly gardens in Austin, TX was represented with vintage butterflies on our cake!  We created our own favors – which were little hand-cut & packaged soaps and tiny little elephant charms.  They were placed in canvas bags with two elephants  (symbolizing happiness, luck and fertility) stamped onto them & adorned with a tag that read “we love you, we thank you” and a hand-written note to each guest.”  Enjoy Angela and Damon’s wedding day filled with beautiful colors, vintage decor, art and lots of love!  A hearty thanks (and welcome to Nashville) to Sarah Frenzel of Frenzel Studios for these fantastic images.  Frenzel Studios is based on the West Coast, but are now booking Nashville weddings. 

Angela and Damon had a surprise announcement for their guests at the end of the celebration.  Presented with Angela’s signature artistic flare, each guest got this cute box to open!
