Mint is a hot wedding color this season, but we are drawn to mint because it is refreshing and cool to the eye. If you attended the 2013 Cedarwood Style Show, you saw two different applications of mint – flea-market chic, and modern. In using the word modern, we are describing the minimalist approach to styling, the use of industrial-inspired galvanized containers and decor, as well as our choice of succulents and air plants in floral design.
Designs in Paper chose streamlined fonts and patterns for invitations, and the wedding cake design repeated the look with fondant stripes and succulent accents. Certainly mint can be romantic, mixed with soft pastels, blush flowers and pops of vintage jadeite. There are countless ways to use color in your own personal style. Let us know how mint makes you feel!
