Courtney and Joshua Schwimer live in Indianapolis, Indiana and chose Cedarwood for their September 1 destination wedding for the southern landscapes of our historic farm. Courtney told us she loves a vintage look and wanted to incorporate vintage elements into her wedding day attire and styling. We loved Courtney’s further explanation, “I love vintage purple glass with silver accents for a vintage look, but we want more of a classic elegant vintage look rather than the tin box vintage look, if that makes sense.” Perfectly! Violet, purple and gray anchored bright colored flowers that looked as enchanting as a late summer garden. Lace accents added a bit of southern romance (Courtney made her own table numbers using paper lace doilies) and Designs in Paper created a gorgeous invitation suite with a lace bordered monogram.
The absolute stand-out favorite fashion accent of the day was Courtney’s vintage-inspired lace boots! Love! Love! Adorable flower girl ribbon wands and a personalized hand-made sign for Courtney and Joshua’s ring bearer were smile magnets in the meadow ceremony. But what stole our hearts? Courtney surprised Joshua by asking Patty Cakes to add a Superman adornment to the back of their wedding cake (he didn’t know about it until the cake cutting ceremony.) To marry your ‘superman’ — how romantic AND lucky! Ace Photography is always amazing to work with and their work is stellar. Every single time. Enjoy Courtney and Joshua’s wedding day photos.
Congratulations Courtney and Joshua. We are honored you chose Cedarwood for your wedding. It was an amazing day. Thanks Ace Photography for sharing your work! We love the Ace Photo Booth pics 🙂
