Tara and Joe both grew up in South Carolina and went to college at the University of South Carolina, but never met there. After graduation Tara and Joe moved to Nashville to start careers but still didn’t meet. Serendipitously, Tara and Joe actually met each other on an airplane Easter weekend of 2011 and discovered all they had in common. They exchanged numbers and love took root. Don’t you just love a story of destiny in affairs of the heart?
Joe and Tara’s classic fall wedding was as rich as their love for each other and full of fun and celebration (these families really love to dance, as you’ll see later!) Groomsmen wore classic black and bridesmaids (all 12 of them, including 4 bridesmaids, 6 honorary bridesmaids, and 2 junior bridesmaids) wore personally selected black cocktail dresses they can enjoy again. Flowers in deep rich reds with pops of ivory, sophisticated monogrammed paper goods by Designs in Paper, warm cider welcoming guests (spiked for cocktail hour), brilliant foliage, and a cozy fire pit at sunset was the recipe for fall wedding perfection. Copper Kettle comfort food stations infused excitement into an interactive, cocktail-style dinner and Mason jars for beverages was a nod to southern style. Enjoy Tara and Joe’s enchanting day, documented perfectly by Kristyn Hogan Photography.
Congratulations Tara and Joe! You are blessed with the riches of love and family. Thanks for sharing your day with us! Your photos by Kristyn Hogan are stunning. And the most amazing photo of the day: Tara and Joe gliding across Cedarwood’s Mooncake Lake after their vows to a masterpiece of fall beauty.
