Personal details and styling define Emmie and Dave’s fantastic August 31 Cedarwood wedding. Dave and Emmie lived in 12 different cities in four years before their decision to settle and marry in Nashville. Wedding invitations and custom paper goods by Designs in Paper featured maps representing their journey of love and relationship around the country. Table Cards named after locations they lived included favorite stories of their time together there. Emmie and Dave’s wedding fell on the night of a blue moon – a rare occurrence that would not happen again for three years. Blue Moon Beer, Moon Pies, and a giant blue moon projected on the ceiling celebrated the significance of Emmie and Dave’s union on this celestial day.
There’s so much more: cowboy boot-clad bridesmaids, each in a unique dress to represent her style; groomsmen in jeans, bow ties and suspenders; an intimate Cedarwood Barn Wedding ceremony with family, friends and a ‘dog-maid’ in the wedding party; reception entrees reflecting hometown roots – Low Country Shrimp and Grits for Emmie’s N.C. upbringing and Smoked Beef Brisket for Dave’s Texas home. Emmie and Dave’s love of wine found expression in their unity wine blending ceremony and a wine/letter box that was sealed during the wedding, as well as favorite wine bottles used as vases and others with custom monogram labels on reception tables. Emmie says, “We broke all the ‘rules’ to have a wedding that was totally and uniquely us.” The Cedarwood Design Team loved working with this creative couple and we are excited to share their delightful, detail-infused celebration through these exceptional images by Ace Photography!
