Dixieland Delight :: Laura Lee + Chris

Photos by Jen and Chris Creed Photography

Featured on:

Laura Lee and Chris Wren live in the heart of Dixie– Atlanta, Georgia, but chose our historic farm estate in Nashville, Tennessee for their June 16 Cedarwood destination wedding.  We are inspired by Laura Lee’s soft romantic elements, including her gorgeous ivory lace gown by Jim Helm, and the bridesmaids’ dresses in blush silk chiffon by Amsale.  The blend of romantic and rustic is effortlessly carried through Laura Lee and Chris’ wedding starting with a live bluegrass duo performing ceremony music.  Guests were seated to “The Tennessee Waltz” and parents and grandparents to “Will the Circle be Unbroken” before a stunning Laura Lee walked down the aisle to a banjo rendition of “Wagner’s Bridal Chorus.”   We still get goosies thinking about this amazing ceremony!  As the day continued, bluegrass gave way to a rockin’ reception performance by The Nashvegas All Stars, but the evening’s last song summed up the celebration- “Dixieland Delight.”

With a last name of Wren, Laura Lee and Chris naturally had to represent this romantic little bird into wedding day decor.  We hung their adorable wire wren favors from a tree branch.  Ivory linen and natural craft paper invitation suite  by Designs in Paper was yet another combination of soft and rustic.  Bird cages and nests with wildflowers, burlap with lace, Sweet Tea served in mason jars, a home style dinner with a top shelf bar, treated guests to an authentic summer southern soiree. Enjoy these highlights by Jen and Chris Creed Photography.

Hi Linda! Hope you’re doing well!!! I can’t tell you how much we truly loved our day and every single detail! It was amazing.

I think I just wrote this in a comment on our post but it hasn’t appeared yet. The dress is by Tea Princess, an Australian company. http://teaprincess.com.au/ They may not have that exact one anymore but have lots of other cute styles! 🙂

Hope you’re all having a happy Fall!
