Nicole Aguila and Michael Linn planned a June 3 Nashville destination wedding at Cedarwood to treat their East Coast guests to a totally unique wedding experience.  Specifically a unique reception since Nicole and Mike were married in a traditional Catholic church service downtown at St. Mary’s Cathedral.  But that’s when the familiar turned into an adventure as guests were bused to our historic farm for a southern style soiree.  Nicole and Mike loved the natural beauty of Cedarwood’s grounds, the red barn and farm feel – especially when juxtaposed with formal flair for their reception. Nicole even coined the term ‘inside out’ – meaning a ball room style reception set outdoors!

We love the way Nicole and Mike used all parts of the property for their party.  When guests arrived they were greeted with trays of champagne and a string duo playing in the front lawn and escorted to the Cedarwood barn for a lively cocktail reception with the an amazing array of butler passed cocktail food and a jazz quartet.  Nicole and Mike and their wedding party and parents were formally presented in the garden terrace before the newlyweds enjoyed their first dance to an amazing vocal of “So Much Better Together” surrounded by family and guests.  It was a regal and  romantic moment.

Mike and Nicole used the Cedarwood  pavilion as a lounge for after-dinner entertainment.  Comfy lounge sofas, chandeliers hanging from the front lawn trees, a rockin’ dance floor, hand rolled cigars, photo booth, a candy bar, cake and cupcakes plus late night party food kept the evening lively and guests engaged. Nicole even had designer cowboy boots waiting at Cedarwood as gifts for every bridesmaid!  Souder Photography shared these images and we think Nicole and Mike are absolutely gorgeous!
