Jennefer and Rick’s home spun, heirloom rich wedding is guaranteed to touch your heart and put a smile on your face. We are head over heels in love with everything about this wedding, especially the fantastic way Kristyn Hogan Photography captured the details!
Jennefer and Rick’s treasured family quilts inspired their wedding design. The front lawn arrival area featured an heirloom quilt by the bride’s grandmother – a ‘cathedral’ pattern and heartfelt tribute to Gran, farm tables, hay bales, fabric ribbons and mason jar candle lanterns. Church pews in the ceremony barn were draped with quilts, hand made by Rick and Jennefer’s Great Grandmothers, facing a shabby-chic altar (made from reclaimed barn wood, a vintage door and antique bedpost) draped with fabric bunting and fresh flower garland.
After the ceremony, cocktail hour in the garden terrace was a wonderland for kids and ‘adult kids’ with live bluegrass music, quilts on the grass, games and galvanized tubs of iced sodas. Dinner was an equally fun affair with A Dream Come True Catering stations featuring BBQ, a Nathan’s Hot Dog stand and Gourmet Burger sliders! Jennefer and Rick’s Patty Cakes wedding cake on a vintage milk glass pedestal plate was topped with heirloom figurines making their cake extraordinarily their own.
Cedarwood’s collection of vintage retro tablecloths topped reception tables, each one different with complimentary colors including tomato red, pink, orange. Vintage decor included milk glass, wood dough bowls, crocks, buttons and sewing notions, bottles and wildflower styled fresh flower arrangements. We loved Jennefer and Rick’s wedding toast using their collection of retro juice glasses! So cool and unique. And their favors….vintage handkerchiefs displayed on antique step ladders. Every detail is an expression of Jennefer and Rick. This is what makes a perfect wedding.
Jennefer’s friend and college classmate, Leeann Eubanks, custom designed her one-of-a-kind wedding dress – Handkerchief linen with amazing detailing including frayed fabric and the best part — the back of the dress features a lovely quilt piece design hand made by her grandmother! Her blue hydrangea bouquet with vintage milk glass brooches, tied with burlap and twine was a stunning style match! Each bridesmaid wore a different dress in red, orange, and pink, holding blue hydrangea and waxflower bouquets. The groom and best man’s seersucker jackets and bow ties pulled together a perfect country chic look. Be sure to click over to PART ONE to see the lovely bride and groom dressed to the nines.
We can’t think of a celebration we’ve enjoyed more than Jennefer and Rick’s Haute Home Spun country Cedarwood wedding. It’s pure and authentic, just like this couple. We are honored to play a part in their union! Kristyn Hogan rocked the photos! Thanks so much for sharing!
