As we enter our fifth year of Cedarwood weddings, we enjoy looking back at some of the amazing unions we’ve been honored to witness, and one that always strikes the cords of our heartstrings is the 2007 wedding of Cara Davis and Aaron Chaney. Aaron comes from a distinguished line of military officers and he also serves his country – not in uniform, but as a civilian contractor for the US Army. Aaron’s brother, Christopher Chaney, was deployed in Iraq during Cara and Aaron’s wedding, yet he served as Best Man in absentia. The American flag gracing the Cedarwood barn was sent from Iraq by Chris specifically for the wedding, and Cara and Aaron dedicated it to him and all the men and women serving in the armed forces. The entire day was filled with beautiful tributes, pageantry, love and emotion.
And we most definitely remember the fun! Cara’s parents, Ann and Jon Davis, threw an amazing party, including entertainment by the fantastic band, Skyline Drive. This day Cedarwood had the privilege of meeting the talented photographer Krystal Mann at Cara and Aaron’s wedding, and we have been friends and huge fans of her work ever since. Take a peek down memory lane with us and enjoy this heartfelt, inspiring and timeless Cedarwood wedding!
