The October 23 wedding of Megan Sitzlar and Brad Stallard ranks among the most touching ceremonies held at Cedarwood. We love the many ways Megan and Brad honored family and made Brad’s children, Marrissa and Lilly Stallard, part of the ceremony. From the song selection (the girls walked in to “Somewhere Over the Rainbow”) to the blessing of hands to the tune “You Are My Sunshine,” to the reading by Joey Cantrell of “Funny Love Quotes by Kids,” the ceremony was planned to include and engage everyone. Megan presented the girls with ‘family lockets’ and all four participated in a family unity ceremony that honored their commitment to a greener Earth by watering a Red Bud tree to be planted at their home. Wedding programs on flower seed paper instructed guests to “take this program home, plant it and watch love grow.” After recessing to “All You Need is Love”, the wedding party rejoiced with a delightful poesy ring dance in the meadow.
Other fun elements of Megan and Brad’s celebration include the Ace Photo Booth, giving guests a chance to clown around, “Whoopie Pies” groom’s cake by Pink Sugar Bowl, a candy and cookie buffet and an amazing Patty Cakes ‘love birds’ wedding cake, tying together the birds, nests and birdcage decor elements used throughout the wedding design. A little “Tennessee Waltz,” Sweet Tea Martinis and a scrumptious dinner by A Dream Come True Catering set the tone for a relaxed reception full of romantic lighting, topped off with good dance music by our house deejay Frank Fleming.
Paul Rowland Photogaphy got some breathtaking night lit photos of Megan and Brad. As you will see, this night definitely dazzled. The organic touches, the color pallet, the sweet touches throughout, the personal tributes, this truly amazing couple, so in love and starting their new family together….for us, this is just about as perfect as it gets. We are honored to participate in the power of their union.
Megan and Brad – you are perfect together. An inspiration to us. Megan arranged for wedding flowers to be delivered to a long term care facility to brighten up lives of the less fortunate with their beautiful wedding. You are a special family indeed.
Thanks again to Paul Rowland Photography for sharing his images with us, and a special acknowledgement to Aspen Cook-Hall, Cedarwood’s staff photographer, for some of the great detail shots.
