Love Birds, Berries and Burlap : Jaymee+Matthew

Photos by Rachel Williamson Photography

Jaymee Reising has a special spot in our hearts. She has impeccable style and great taste in selecting a husband. Like Matthew Castle, a dapper gentleman who compliments her like the Volunteers does UT.  We can’t imagine one without the other.  In fact they met during their junior year of college at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville where a shared passion for sports (and each other) developed into a seven year love story that culminated in marriage at Cedarwood on October 8.

Jaymee and Matthew’s rustic elegant garden wedding style complimented Cedarwood equally well.  With an overall casual feeling, it had a rich, upscale look, with lush flowers, organic touches, and enchanting environments.  After their gorgeous garden ceremony, guests enjoyed the Cedarwood property with cocktails in the barn,  an intimate candlelit dinner,  and lively dancing.   Jaymee’s romantic fall color palette of wine and berry hues were paired with rustic bird cages, flowers infused with fruit and succulents, and a moss covered monogram. One sensation of the wedding was Jaymee and Matthew’s Patty Cakes wedding cake, decorated with fondant flowers mirroring the appliques on her wedding gown.  Amazing detail, and so personal. Check out their cute love birds and nest cake topper — one of many love bird details woven into the wedding decor.  In tribute to their relationship’s roots, Jaymee surprised Matthew with a groom’s cake in the form of a petite replica of Neyland Stadium.

We love  Jaymee and Matthew’s chalk board ceremony program, the guys coordinated, but mis-matched wedding attire and the girls ‘spiced wine’ J.Crew dresses.  And Jaymee….wow! She is truly breathtaking. Take in the gorgeous details of Jaymee and Matthew’s October garden wedding compliments of Rachel Williamson Photography.

    Linda and all-

What a fun surprise to check in and see our wedding up on the blog! Thank you for the kind wishes and for your touching commentary on our love, our wedding style and our perfect day. You all made it such a wonderful, low-stress experience. Looking back on the pictures reminds me of just how far everything exceeded our expectations. As so many brides have, I want to share with you the amazing feedback we received from all the guests – more then one told us it was the most personal, comfortable, beautiful wedding they had attended! Mission accomplished on the feel we wished for all along.

    Linda-

I want to give you a special thanks for all you did to make my day perfect – from the first day we met! One memory I know I will keep forever is seeing you there when we arrived to get ready for the wedding and sharing that hug. I always knew Cedarwood was the place for me and a big part of the reason why is the genuinely caring treatment I received from you every step of the way. So, thank you for that and everything else!
