Rustic Vintage Tennessee Wedding: Rachel+Dan

Photos by Krystal Mann for The Collection

Rachel Matthys and Dan Shambaugh’s August 14 Cedarwood wedding was a juxtaposition of elegant/beautiful and rustic/vintage.  Wedding style in a nutshell: The bride, a Chicago based “Tennessee girl” getting married in her home town in a striking Marissa gown with lavender accents surrounded by natural countryside elements with a big dose of personal pizzazzpeacock feathers included! We especially love Rachel and Dan’s DIY table numbers reflecting personal occasions, places and pets who couldn’t attend the celebration! Rachel and Dan visited Cedarwood for their final planning session as an assortment of our vintage props were being put away. They used the opportunity to ‘shop’ for decor items to enhance their wedding style.  One of the ‘green-eco’ (and best) benefits of booking a Cedarwood wedding is that you have access to a storehouse of decor pieces, props and floral accents without having to purchase them for your wedding!

We love Krystal Mann’s photographic talent, and she delivered wonderful wedding day images for The Collection. So good, that one of our favorite style blogs, Every Last Detail ran a feature post on Rachel and Dan’s wedding. Click here to see it or just scroll down. We’ve also included some Cedarwood bonus detail photos at the end.

From Lauren:  “Wow, this is the second Tennessee wedding this week! I swear, I didn’t do it on purpose, and no, the state of Tennessee is not paying me to showcase their weddings. icon wink Rustic Vintage Tennessee Wedding We’ve just gotten lucky with fabulous TN submissions!

This rustic, vintage wedding from Krystal Mann of The Collection is awesome. The colors are gorgeous, with a few peacock feather details thrown in. There are some amazing vintage and DIY details too. I don’t want to give it all away- see for yourself!

“I for one am IN LOVE with the venue, Cedarwood. Old church windows and pews for the ceremony and tons of vintage tables? At a venue? How many places can say that?! I just might have to find a way to go there one day, because it’s my new favorite place. Oh and can’t forget about the the table names- love them! Can I just please have it all?

A big thanks to Krystal Mann for doing such a great job capturing all of the gorgeousness of this wedding and sharing with us!”

Thanks, Lauren, for the feature AND for the compliments!  We love the Every Last Detail Blog!  And now enjoy some bonus detail images by Cedarwood’s staff photographer, Aspen Cook-Hall. We’re fortunate that Aspen is able to help us document some of our wedding design work.  Enjoy.
