Jon Fodor and Tara Gentile purchased a historic white farm house in their home town of Columbus, Ohio. When they visited Cedarwood scouting venues for their Nashville destination wedding, Jon told us how much our historic home, circa 1837, reminds him of their farm house. Except that Cedarwood was ‘ready’ for a September 11 wedding celebration and theirs wasn’t. Yet. Tara said that the location and ambiance of weddings she’s attended always stood out and finding a relaxed outdoor venue loaded with charm was top on their criteria list. We’re happy they found Cedarwood! The great joy for us was the chance to help Tara and Jon plan an elegant country wedding that felt like ‘home’ to them and their guests. We enjoyed interacting with Jon and Tara – they are playful, very much in love, and they know how to enjoy the fine things in life AND the simple things in life. To us, that is the formula for a rich relationship and happy life!
Tara’s wedding design focused on her favorite color and her favorite flower – hydrangea. The beautiful blue and white varieties make such a statement. Using them en masse, with ice blue bichon table linens evoked the mood of romantic galas that have long defined well-heeled Southerners from cities and country alike. Tara and Jon’s series of dreamy ‘first look’ photos by Rachel Williamson Photography capture the essence of Tara and Jon’s love for each other and their playful personalities. We hope couples who are ‘on the fence’ about seeing each other before your ceremony will pay close attention to the emotion in these photos! They are some of the most special of the entire day. Here’s part one of Tara and Jon’s wedding day, focusing mainly on their on pre-ceremony loveliness with a little tease of floral and decor to come. Sit back and let these beauties wash over your heart!
