There’s much to share from Hannah and Josh’s April 5 Cedarwood wedding, but we’re starting at the heart of the matter – their vows of commitment to each other, overflowing with love, faith and family. We were so thrilled that this day, the first Saturday in April, was such a glorious day for an Outdoor Cathedral Ceremony in the Cedarwood meadow. It is truly a sacred space for holy matrimony. Family and fellowship defined this day from start to finish (more details in Part 2) including a ‘first look’ session between bride and father before he presented Hannah to her groom at the altar.
Hannah and Josh’s story of young love is adorable. She shares, “Josh and I first met a couple years ago at a Chick-fil-A in Louisville with my mom and sister, Mia. I was in my tennis clothes and Mia was in her horse back riding clothes, and as we stood at the counter in front of Josh for drink refills, he asked Mia if she had been playing tennis…which of course she replied “um no… I have been riding horses.” After that day we spoke of him as the cute Chick-fil-A guy. He made quite the impression. About a year later I had moved back to Louisville from Alabama and started school at UofL Josh was now working at the Chick-fil-A closer to my house, which we frequented often. One day my mom had taken my 5 year old brother and his friend to eat there, and Josh just so happened to take their order. My mom being the social talker that she is, decided to tell Josh that I had a crush on him. She reminded him of the story about our first interaction, which he felt did not go so smoothly. One of Josh’s co-workers intervened on his behalf by asking my mom somewhere along the lines of “what would be the most gentlemanly way to possibly get your daughter’s name and number?” Josh and I friended each other on Facebook, and yeah, I gave him my number. After spending about three hours together in Starbucks the very night he first called me, the rest was history. We were so in love that we were inseparable. People made fun of us, but I knew I was going to marry him after a week of dating. He is my best friend! After dating for nine months Josh proposed to me at the place I knew we were going to get married, Historic Cedarwood!! Eight months later, we are finally married and couldn’t be happier.”
Glorious wedding ceremony! Congratulations Hannah and Josh. Check out ‘the rest of their wedding day story’ in Part 2, here! Thanks Nyk and Cali Wedding Photographers for sharing these lovely images with us!
