Cedarwood Weddings Style at heart is Southern Chic through and through. Our design team loves to create sigh-evoking, romantic settings showcasing the natural beauty of our historic farm. And we love to “vintage” all things wedding! Here are a few more inspirational ideas and DIYs by the Cedarwood Design Team for a southern countryside celebration in our southern wedding style series!
Traditional guest books are giving way to more interesting ways to enjoy sentiments penned by wedding guests, like this coffee table history book of Nashville.
Peonies…yes please! We can’t get enough of these fluffy romantic blossoms. Our design team used Coral Charm Peonies, Ranunculus, Majolika Spray Roses, Astilbe, Stock and Pink Saponaria for a romantic bouquet adorned with hand made crocheted lace flowers, vintage lace wrap and a Milk Glass and Aurora Borealis rhinestone heirloom brooch. Dramatically set against verdant natural landscapes, the bride’s Vera Wang ball gown epitomes style and sophistication, and heirloom and vintage accessories add a dash of southern chic. The groom is dressed like a true southern gentleman in gray linen and a watermelon bow tie, sporting a bold peony boutonniere.
Flower Girl’s basket and Ring Bearer’s pillow were hand made by Cedarwood designers with vintage crocheted lace, burlap and ribbon, adding an extra dose of adorable!
Nothing feels more refreshing than a beautiful farm meadow ceremony. Cedarwood offers several site spaces for outdoor weddings, and even more options for unique ceremony altars and seating. In this case, a hand crafted altar made from reclaimed barn wood, a vintage door and bed posts with hay bale seating and burlap and lace pillows…perfect!
